Principal Engineer – Hardware

Location: Udaipur (Rajasthan) – Onsite

Qualification: B.E / B. Tech. in Electrical/ Electronic or equivalent or higher qualification.

Role Overview:

To provide expertise & leadership in Electronic or equivalent engineering discipline, to do the necessary product architecting & designing & to relate the expertise to at least one other engineering discipline for the assigned programs so that the assigned program & product meet timeline, cost & manufacturing targets/plans. Be a technology evangelist & Identify opportunities for product innovation, contribute to enhance the standard of engineering practices in the organization and also be part for a higher level of contribution in technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for understanding product requirement specifications.
• Plan & execute Upfront Technical Architecture and high level design to ensure that the product meets design robustness, design for manufacturability, serviceability, performance, reliability, cost, feature set, etc.
• Work with the team of design engineers for designing of analog and digital circuits which meets standard compliance, EMI/EMC, functional, reliability, manufacturability, testing and ergonomic requirements.
• Expected to adhere, maintain and improve systems and development processes.
• Manage the projects and ensure timely delivery.

Technical Expertise Required:

• Experience in Analog design- types of ADC and their selections for AC signal measurement, discrete circuit design using BJT, MOSFET, OPAMP, etc.
• Micro controller or Microprocessor – Selection and exposure to use its peripherals
• Power supply- SMPS design, DC/DC converter, LDOs
• Exposure to Design for Manufacturability , and its plan during product design
• PCB design for EMI/EMC compliance, safety compliance, standard compliance and take cares for DFM.
• Proficient in component selection and characterization – OPAMP, Micro, SMPS switcher ICs, transistor, passive components, diodes, etc.
• Knowledge and experience about quality tools like 8D, FMECA, CAPA, 5-Why analysis and problem solving skills
• Understanding of part and product reliability
• RF Design (optional) applicable for RF projects only
• In-depth application knowledge of Safety, EMIEMC standards (IEC or FCC compliance )
